The top edging which ends the tapestry consists of a row of meander, also called running dogs. The edging at the bottom is made of a line of acanthus leafs or lotus flowers. In the middle a pillar carrying two vaults separates the two motives. Everywhere the vaults are decorated with different ornaments and stylised flowers.
